Two students received First-Team All-Academic Honors: Andrew Wolfenberger of Newton, Kan., and Joe Streckfus of Lakin, Kan. First-Team honorees had to be full time students of junior status or higher during the 2008 calendar year with a minimum 3.8 average GPA.

Kayla Lassiter of Valley Falls, Kan., and Chloe Hall of Holton, Kan., received Second-Team All-Academic Honors. Second-Team honorees had to also be full-time students of junior status or higher during the 2008 calendar year with a minimum 3.6 average GPA.

Honorable Mention honorees had to be full-time students of sophomore status or higher during the 2008 calendar year with a minimum 3.4 average GPA. Three SC students received Honorable Mention All-Academic Honors: Christina Smith of Overland Park, Kan.; Josiah Fuchser of Malcolm, Neb.; and Kerby Rice of Athol, Kan.

"We are extremely happy for and proud of our students who have made the KATS Honor Roll," said SC Athletic Training Education Program Director Pete Manely. "They are well deserving of the awards they have received, and we appreciate the Kansas Athletic Trainers' Society for this honor bestowed upon these students and our program. It's always nice to have hard work and dedication recognized."
