Sterling Chorale Makes Its Final "Tour Stop" in Sterling

The Sterling Chorale will perform the last concert of its annual spring tour this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sterling. This is the same concert the Chorale took on a tour during Sterling’s spring break. There is no admission charge for the event.

The choir will be sharing their “Year at a Glance” tour where they will sing a variety of selections from the past year. The songs including classical sacred, spirituals and hymn arrangements, contemporary anthems and musical theatre selections. The choir is under the direction of Mark Clark, assistant professor of music, and will be accompanied by Dr. Brad Nix, chair of the music department.

Mark Clark serves as the director of choral activities at Sterling College, and he directs and teaches the choral ensembles, choral classes, and Music Theory. Clark holds degrees in music education from Wichita State University and Friends University. Clark also spent four years as the director of choral activities at Newman University in Wichita and 18 years as a vocal music teacher in public schools in Kansas.
