Sterling College adds Johnson and Ball to Advancement

August 2, 2022, Sterling, Kan. –  The Sterling College Office of Institutional Advancement has grown with the additions of Jim Johnson ’80 as director of development and Liliana Ball as administrative assistant for advancement and alumni. 

“The addition of Jim and Liliana to the Advancement and Alumni team has been a great blessing and very positive move for the department and the College as a whole. They are both a joy to work with and bring optimism and significant skills sets to their respective roles at Sterling,” said David Earle ’91, vice president for advancement.

Johnson brings with him a breadth of experience in law enforcement, finance, and education. He holds a B.S. from Sterling College with majors in Business and Elementary Education, a Masters in School Leadership from Friends University, and District Level Certification from Wichita State University.

Ball helps current and future alumni stay connected with Sterling and she assists the Advancement Office with its many activities supporting donors and friends of the College. Ball has been a Sterling resident since 2016. She and her husband are active members in the Sterling community with family ties to Sterling College.
