Sterling College Announces Honors Awards Recipients

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

On Friday, April 15, Sterling College hosted its 39th Annual Honors Convocation in Culbertson Auditorium. Thirty-two students received awards for their achievements in academics, athletics and leadership while 50 students were awarded scholarships in their academic and athletic fields. Each scholarship and award has various criteria chosen by the donor at the establishment of the award or scholarship. Lastly, a student and a staff member were recognized for their servant leadership on campus after being voted upon by the Student Government Association.

“Honors Convocation is a great way for us to formally recognize all of the hard work the students have been doing throughout the year. Whether it’s for sports or academics, each scholarship and award carries a little bit of history with it, and it’s wonderful to see the impact those honors have on students year after year. I am proud to have such a talented and dedicated group of individuals here at Sterling College,” said Ken Brown, vice president for academic affairs.
