Sterling College Homecoming Festivities Set for October 24
  
	Sterling College will welcome alumni and friends to campus for the annual Homecoming festivities on Saturday, October 24. The Sterling community is also invited to participate in the day's events.
	The traditional Homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the Sterling Farmer's Co-op, travel north to Washington Street and then west past the Presbyterian Manor. The Homecoming candidates, Paul Kempf, Matt Ehresman, Andy Dinh, Samantha Kempf, Sarah Wolff, and Stacy Curry, will be part of the parade. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at the beginning of the football game, and at halftime the new track and field will be dedicated.
	A Homecoming Hangout with items of interest for all ages will be located on the tennis courts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition to food items for sale, there will also be music, arts and crafts, and activities for kids, including games, face painting, inflatable moonwalks and a petting zoo with a wide assortment of animals. The petting zoo, provided by Hedricks Animal Farm in Nickerson, is free of charge. Proceeds earned from the fair go to support the organizations and groups participating in it.
	Sterling College's Homecoming musical, "Working," will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 22-24, at 8 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. All tickets are reserved and are available through the Sterling College box office: 620-278-4279. Box Office hours are 1-5 p.m. October 19-21 and 7-8 p.m. October 22-24. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students/children/seniors 65 and over. Reservations not paid for by 7:50 p.m. on the night of the reservation will be subject to release for general sale.
