Sterling College is excited to welcome an estimated 650 students to campus this summer as it hosts a series of camps throughout June and July. The summer camp season will include three cheerleading camps sponsored by KSHSAA and Varsity, as well as leadership and ministry camps hosted by Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and CrossPoint Church.

“We are proud to be a hub for youth and ministry development this summer. Our beautiful campus and Christ-centered mission make Sterling College an ideal place for these students to learn, grow, and experience community,” said Timothy Hendrixson, assistant women’s basketball coach and athletic operations assistant.

The KSHSAA and Varsity cheer camps will take place June 1-5, June 15-19, and June 29-July 3. Across the three camps, more than 600 student-athletes are expected to participate in activities located in Gleason Center, the Student Union, and campus residence halls.

Later in the summer, Sterling will welcome two additional faith-based camps. The FCA Leadership Camp will take place July 18-20, and is designed to teach practical Christian growth skills and develop effective campus leaders. The camp will focus on spiritual formation and equipping students with organizational and motivational tools for use in FCA campus ministries. CrossPoint Church will utilize Sterling College’s residence halls July 21-25, as part of their own regional ministry programming.
