Sterling College to Welcome New Students with Warrior Welcome orientation

Sterling College is preparing to welcome its newest class of Warriors during Warrior Welcome 2025, spanning August 8-23, a schedule of orientation events designed to introduce new students and their families to campus life, build meaningful relationships, and reflect the College’s Christ-centered mission.
The weekend begins with New Student Check-In on Friday, August 8, where incoming students will move through the process to finalize enrollment, receive residence hall keys, and meet with representatives from key campus departments. Parents and family members are invited to enjoy the Parent & Family Hospitality Corner hosted by the Sterling College Alumni Association.
One of the signature moments of Warrior Welcome takes place on each move-in day with the Warrior Welcome and Service of Dedication, where students and families gather for an official introduction to Sterling College. This meaningful ceremony includes words of encouragement from campus leaders, prayerful reflection, and a commitment to the shared values of academic excellence and spiritual growth that define the Sterling College experience.
The campus will open its doors to the broader community with the Community Fair, where local organizations, churches, and businesses connect with new students through a welcoming festival atmosphere filled with music, giveaways, and fellowship. Students will also experience the spirited Highland Games, a beloved tradition that fosters community and friendly competition.
“At Sterling College, every moment of New Student Orientation is intentionally designed to help students step into purpose and begin building lasting relationships. As each new Warrior joins our campus community, we celebrate the joy of new beginnings and pray that the strength of this community and the call to grow in both faith and knowledge will guide their journey,” said Jason Briar, vice president for student life.
Warrior Welcome marks the beginning of a vibrant fall semester at Sterling College, where students are encouraged to “Learn with Purpose” and grow into creative and thoughtful servant leaders.
