Warriors Win Easily over Southwestern Christian

Sterling, Kan. - Southwestern Christian came into Sterling on Tuesday evening with the goal to knock off the Lady Warrior Soccer Team. Southwestern Christian failed in their goal as the Warriors defeated Southwestern Christian rather easily by a score of 4-0.

Kylie Yates and the Warriors jumped on Southwestern Christian early in the first half. Yates scored the opening goal in the 11th minute off of an assist by Lacey Rhoads. Yates struck again in the 18th minute with her second goal off of a Tiffany Delgado assist. Karina Noah added the third goal of the half in the 27th minute after a great delivery from Yates.

The Lady Warriors slowed the pace in the second half, concentrating on possession. Ashley Redinger slipped an unassisted goal past Southwestern Christian's keeper in the 73rd minute to finish the game for the Warriors.

Defensively, the back line stood strong and Warrior keeper Brittany Seiler made four saves to earn the clean sheet.

Sterling's next game will be on September 17 when they travel to Bacone College in Oklahoma. Game time is 3:00 pm.
