Kristi Parish
Born and raised in the Denver, Colorado, area, Kristi never imagined she would one day call another state home. However, after many road trips between Colorado and Kansas from 2020 to 2022, she, her husband, and three of their four children moved to Sterling in June 2022.
Before their daughter, Rebekah (Parish) Brownlee '24, and the rest of the family participated in a Sterling College campus tour in May 2019, they had never heard of Sterling College or Sterling, Kansas. That visit ultimately became the beginning of an unexpected journey.
After graduating from high school, Kristi completed business coursework at Front Range Community College. She worked various jobs until a few months before their first child was born. Kristi then had the privilege of being a homemaker while raising all four children. She is grateful for the Lord's provision in fulfilling her desire to stay home with her family while her husband taught at a Christian school for 20 years.
Throughout the years, God has gifted Kristi with strong administrative abilities, which she has used in a variety of part-time positions, church ministries, volunteer roles, and now in her work at Sterling College. From 1995 to 2022, she especially enjoyed serving in numerous administrative and volunteer roles within her church.
Kristi joined the Sterling College Advancement team in January 2023 as a part-time Gifts Processor. In August 2023, she transitioned to the full-time role of Advancement Coordinator. This is her first full-time position outside the home since getting married. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Sterling College community and, most importantly, to serve the Lord.
