Stansbury named director of worship arts at Sterling College

Sterling College is pleased to announce that Erin (Bronleewe) Stansbury ’00 has been named director of worship arts. In this role, Stansbury will guide the spiritual formation of students through worship leadership, mentorship, and the creative integration of music and ministry across campus life.
“We are excited to welcome Erin into this role. Her devotion to Christ, along with her experience and leadership, make her exceptionally well-suited for this position,” said Jose Carillo, campus pastor.
Stansbury has served for more than 22 years as the worship arts director at First Baptist Church in Lyons, Kansas. She has also worked as a substitute teacher in the Hesston School District, taught private piano lessons, managed her own custom wedding cake business, and continues to help run her family farm near Lorraine alongside her husband, Jason.
A Sterling College alumna, Stansbury earned her bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in art and design. She began her college studies at Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas, where she studied piano and voice and participated in ministry teams and choir.
“God has prepared me in so many ways to step into this role, and I can’t wait to see how He works to strengthen the Worship Teams and spiritual lives of students on campus,” said Stansbury.
Stansbury has been a faithful supporter of Sterling’s music and theatre departments, often volunteering with costumes and props and regularly attending campus performances. Her ties to the College run deep: her father, Tom Bronleewe, taught in the theology department for 16 years, and all three of her children - Andrew ’19, Robbie ’24, and Lily ’26 - have attended Sterling. Her son, Andrew, now serves as the College’s arts enrollment counselor.
