Sterling College is preparing to welcome its newest class of Warriors during Warrior Welcome 2026, a series of orientation events designed to help new students and their families transition into campus life while building lasting relationships rooted in faith and community. Warrior Welcome will take place in two sessions on Friday, Aug. 7, and Friday, Aug. 14, welcoming student-athletes and the remaining new and returning students to campus.

New Student Check-In will begin from 9 a.m. to noon on the west side of Cooper Hall, where students will complete the enrollment process, meet with representatives from key campus offices, and receive their residence hall keys and student identification cards.

“Warrior Welcome is the beginning of each student’s journey as a member of the Sterling College family. From the moment students arrive on campus, our faculty, staff, and student leaders are committed to helping them build meaningful relationships, grow in their faith, and discover the many opportunities that await them at Sterling College,” said Jason Briar, vice president for student life. “

One of the signature events of Warrior Welcome is the Warrior Welcome and Service of Dedication, where students and their families gather to celebrate the beginning of the academic year through worship, prayer, and encouragement from campus leaders. Students will also participate in the annual Highland Games, a long-standing Sterling College tradition that promotes teamwork, friendly competition, and community. The weekend will also feature the Community Fair, connecting new students with local churches, businesses, organizations, and community partners as they begin making Sterling their home.

Warrior Welcome serves as the official beginning of the Sterling College experience, preparing students academically, spiritually, and socially for the start of the fall semester while introducing them to the College’s Christ-centered mission and community.
