Friends and family gathered in the Gleason Center at Sterling College on Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, to celebrate the achievements of its Class of 2026 graduates. The Wichita Caledonian Pipe Band led the procession, and speaker, Rev. Dr. Joel Wood, senior pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church in La Mesa, Calif., gave the Commencement address.  The Class of 2026 were honored as part of this year’s program. The presentation of degrees followed with students walking the stage and shaking hands with President Scott Rich, completing their time at Sterling.

A powerful afternoon of music aimed at breaking silence and building hope awaits audiences as the Sterling College Symphonic Band presents “unBroken: Songs of Hope” on Sunday, April 26 at 3 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. The concert uses emotionally resonant works to highlight mental and emotional health through the music of composer Randall Standridge. 

The stage lights shone once again at Sterling College as 150 students and teachers from 15 high schools across Kansas gathered for the second annual Sterling College Musical Theatre Day. Expanding on last year’s inaugural singing contest, the event now includes a full day of activities featuring a solo competition, interactive workshops, and a student Q&A. The day closed with a special matinee performance of the classic musical “She Loves Me.”

“Romcoms” — short for romantic comedies — thrive on witty banter, mistaken identities, and the irresistible spark between two people who seem destined to fall in love. Sterling College Musical Theatre brings that beloved formula to the stage with She Loves Me, a charming romcom that has delighted audiences for decades. Performances are scheduled for April 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and April 19 at 2 p.m. in Culbertson.
