The roar of the crowd. The instant before the finish line. The emotion that flashes across an athlete’s face in victory or defeat. Sterling College senior Tod Mastin has learned to capture those moments that happen in the blink of an eye — or, more precisely, at 1/1000th of a second. Mastin’s senior photography exhibit, “1/1000th of Glory,” will be on display in the Sterling College Art and Media Gallery from October 10 through November 15. 

Sterling College’s Enrollment Services Office is excited to invite prospective students and their families to explore its vibrant campus during several upcoming Snapshot Days. Twenty-five years ago, Marisa Callan and Travis Nesbitt sang, danced, and flirted their way through the leading roles of Rosie Alvarez and Albert Peterson in their high-school production of “Bye Bye Birdie” in Norco, Calif.

This fall, the longtime friends are bringing that same show to life again—now as Music Director and Choreographer for Sterling College Musical Theatre’s Homecoming production, running October 17-19 in Culbertson Auditorium.

Sterling College Debate and Forensics teams hosted two events at the Kansas State Fair this year. This was the 10th annual Forensics Showcase which was held Thursday, September 11, and for the third year, Sterling College presented the debate exhibition, which was two days before on Tuesday, September 9. 

Sterling College Theatre has unveiled its 2025–2026 season, a dynamic lineup of musicals, plays, and student showcases that highlight the power of performance to bring meaning, hope, joy, and entertainment in turbulent times.

Sterling College Theatre is gearing up for a busy season. With a tradition that spans generations, Sterling continues to offer students opportunities for growth, professional preparation, and Christ-centered community. This fall, the program opens its 2025–2026 season October 17–19 with the beloved American musical Bye Bye Birdie—a reminder that the stage at Sterling remains vibrant and full of life.
