I graduated from SC in 2012 with a degree in English. Since then, The Lord has taken me to seminary, where I am pursuing a master’s degree in media and communication with an emphasis in writing. The English department is a huge reason I'm doing well: Squires taught me how to break down a sentence, Watney taught me how to read critically and Sutton taught me how to write concisely. My literary background has prepared me to engage the biblical text with respect and to write in a way that attempts to bring God glory.

Transferring to Sterling College from a big community college was the best decision I've ever made. I was blessed to play college football for Coach Andy Lambert, who invested in me as an athlete and as a man of God. During my time at Sterling I grew through serving in student government, being in a one act play, hosting the annual talent show, leading student Bible studies and participating in an international mission trip. It was refreshing to have faculty who authentically cared about me and wanted me to succeed. I will be graduating this spring, excited about my future opportunities. I leave Sterling College confident, knowing that the experiences I've had at Sterling have prepared me for life and the workplace.
