Sheila Bird

Sheila Bird, MBA, MAOA, BA, CNP, CFRE Director of Gift Planning, Sterling College

Sheila Bird rejoined the Advancement team at Sterling College in July 2023 as the Director of Gift Planning, bringing with her over 25 years of leadership in development and philanthropy. Her return to Sterling marks a continuation of her deep commitment to faith-based education, having previously served the College in several key roles: Director of Planned Giving (2013–2016), Associate Vice President for Advancement, (2016–2019,), and Vice President for Advancement (2019).

Kristi Parish

Born and raised in the Denver, Colorado, area, Kristi never imagined she would one day call another state home. However, after many road trips between Colorado and Kansas from 2020 to 2022, she, her husband, and three of their four children moved to Sterling in June 2022.

Before their daughter, Rebekah (Parish) Brownlee '24, and the rest of the family participated in a Sterling College campus tour in May 2019, they had never heard of Sterling College or Sterling, Kansas. That visit ultimately became the beginning of an unexpected journey.
