Sterling College hosted its inaugural “No Ordinary People: A C.S. Lewis Conference” on Friday, March 27, 2026, bringing together scholars, students, and guests from across Kansas and multiple states for a day of reflection on discipleship, education, and the enduring legacy of C.S. Lewis. Sponsored by the Sterling College C.S. Lewis Center and the Office for the Integration of Faith and Learning, the conference marked a significant milestone in the College’s ongoing commitment to thoughtful Christian scholarship and community engagement.

Sterling College Online Learning has announced its summer 2026 course offerings, providing students with an affordable and flexible opportunity to continue their education or get ahead on degree requirements. Sterling College’s Debate and Forensics team delivered a strong national showing at the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament, held March 18-22, at Missouri State University in Springfield.

Competing for Sterling College were Davi Brooks, Cristian Vargui, Brennan Blake, Bailey Brewer, and Chandler Reiman, under the direction of coach Ken Troyer. The team faced competitors from colleges and universities across the country in a demanding multi-day event featuring debate and individual forensic competition. 

Sterling College and Southern Nazarene University (SNU) have launched a new academic partnership that creates a streamlined pathway for SNU undergraduate students to earn both a bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene and a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) from Sterling College.

Rev. Dr. Joel Wood, senior pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church in La Mesa, Calif., will be the speaker for the 2026 Sterling College Commencement ceremony. The ceremony will honor the Class of 2026 and will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 9:45 a.m. in the Gleason Physical Education Center on the Sterling College campus. 

The Sterling College Criminal Justice program will host Robert Jacobs, associate director of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), for its keynote lecture on Thursday, April 9. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in Heritage Hall in Cooper Hall. The public is invited to attend this free event.
