Lesa Brown
Lesa Brown (SC ’97) is thrilled to return to her alma mater. She holds an MA in Theatre Education from Northern Colorado University and has over 30 years of theatre, music, and art teaching and directing experience. She recently was an affiliate professor at Colorado Christian University, taught theatre at the highest-ranking school in Colorado Springs, and runs Awaken Creative Institute, a non-profit dedicated to helping theatre companies bring their communities together.
Greg McGlynn
Greg McGlynn was born in Sterling, Ks. growing up on a farm nearby and graduating from Sterling College with a B.A. in Communications and Theatre in 1987, receiving a master’s in education from Friends University in 2004. Greg began his teaching career in 1989 at Eureka High School, Eureka, Kansas. For the past 30 years, he has worked professionally as an actor, teacher and director of high school Theatre in Plano and Carrollton Farmer’s Branch, Texas, and Haysville, Goddard and McPherson. Kansas. Theatre Honors have included Texas State Championship.
Sean Foster
Sean is excited to be a part of the team at Sterling College. He specializes in vocal pedagogy and performance based on anatomy and physiology and how they affect sound. Working as a vocalist and a pianist, Sean has performed as a collaborator and soloist throughout the country. As a music educator, Sean has worked in classrooms of all levels, most of his work taking place in choral music at the high school level. Sean has degrees from Wichita State University and from Western Illinois University. Additionally, Sean has a deep love of music and youth ministry.
Kaylea Hein
I grew up in Wichita, KS and began my academic journey at Sterling College in 2018 on a golf scholarship, majoring in Health Science. After graduating in 2022, I embarked on a two-year path through the Athletic Training Program. I completed my master’s degree in May 2024 and was thrilled to be hired back at Sterling College as an assistant Athletic Trainer. I am eager to contribute to the college community that has meant so much to me. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with animals, watching movies, reading books, following sports, and exploring the outdoors
Dr. Rachel Danley
Dr. Rachel Danley recently called Scotland “home,” but is now returning to her first home in Kansas. Her parents met and married while attending Sterling College, and she was born in Lyons. After growing up as a pastor’s kid in rural Iowa, she served in college ministry with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for 13 years where she grew a love for God, His Word, and students from around the world. From this experience, God led her to commit herself to the academy long-term and to delve deeper into Scripture through the biblical languages in her master’s programs.
