Interterm at Sterling College is a special time. It’s January. It’s just after the Christmas break. It’s between the two semesters. And everyone on campus – students and faculty alike – have only one class.
Most classes are for three hours of credit which means that each Interterm class meets every week day for three hours. It’s like having a week’s worth of classes in one day. It can be intense but it can also be fun.
Classes offered during Interterm can be for General Education credit or for your major/minor or simply be an elective – something you want to take not because you are required to but because you have an interest in the subject.
Many Interterm classes are not offered during the fall or spring semester. Some examples of Interterm classes include:
CS Lewis and His Friends
Faith Writing
Baseball Literature
Monster Literature
Introduction to Chinese Culture and Language-Basic Mandarin
Counseling for Grief and Loss
Biblical Conflict Resolution
Slam Poetry
Musical Theatre – New York Trip to Broadway
Political Communication
First Ladies - History
Wildlife Management Techniques
Sports Public Relations
Field Experience for Education
First Aid
Printmaking
Think about it. Taking Interterm over the course of four years is the equivalent of getting one semester (12-16 hours of credit) free of charge!
