Taylor Stoltz

Stoltz comes to Sterling College from Barton County Community College, where she was an assistant coach for the last two seasons. In her first season at Barton, she helped the Cougars make a run for the Region VI title coming up short to end the season at 33-17. The Cougars earned a second-place finish in the Jayhawk East standings at 20-6, which included breaking up 10th ranked Butler's 77 conference game winning streak.

Scott Downing

Scott Downing ’79 is Sterling’s vice president for athletics. In his role at Sterling, Downing’s responsibilities include providing the strategic vision for Warrior Athletics and fundraising support to allow Sterling to consistently compete for championships. He provides long-range planning for Warrior Athletics and ensure compliance with the rules and regulations governing the operation of the athletic programs. Downing oversees an athletic department that features 18 teams and over 300 student-athletes.
 

Nic Martinez

Nic Martinez is in his seventh year here at Sterling College, and is now set to begin his first official year as Head Men's Soccer coach in the fall of 2017. Coach Martinez has been a part of the Sterling soccer programs for the past seven years, working as an assistant for both the women's and men's soccer teams. As a former Warrior and standout keeper himself, Martinez has been the goalkeeper coach for both the women's and men's programs during his time at Sterling. Coach Martinez also played professional soccer for the Wichita Wings and the Wichita B-52s in Wichita, Kan.

K.C. Bassett

K.C. Bassett is currently the head women's basketball coach. She was head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach for seven seasons prior to being named the head women's basketball coach for the 2014-15 season.

Before joining the coaching staff, she was a four-year starter and twice captain on Sterling College teams that finished with a combined record of 99-28 [78%], and won two conference championships and one KCAC tournament championship. Her teams made three trips to the NAIA National Tournament, where they finished in the Sweet Sixteen twice and Elite Eight once.

Deb Wiebe

 Deb was born and raised here in Sterling, Kansas. She graduated from Sterling high school and attended Hutchinson Community College. She now lives in Sterling with her husband, Curt and together have two children, Brenna and Derek as well as their grandaughter, Morgan. Brenna is married to SC Alumni, Brandon Winn.

Deb started working in the athletic department in 1995 and can truly say, "This has been the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.  Getting to know the student athletes and working with a great coaching staff truly makes for the best job!"

Justin Morris

Justin is from Wichita, Kansas. He is in his thirteenth season as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Sterling College. Coach Morris coached the men's team also up until December (2006) before stepping down to focus more on the women's team.

Dr. Ryan "Pete" Manely

 
Pete enjoys many activities in his free time including music, reading, BBQ competitions/catering and eating out with friends; however, all of those are secondary to marrying the love of his life, Kay Manely. Pete and Kay have three beautiful children Cord (SC 2020 Alum), Brielle, and Braylen. His hometown is Lebanon, KS.
