Sterling College’s Debate and Forensics team delivered a strong national showing at the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament, held March 18-22, at Missouri State University in Springfield.
Competing for Sterling College were Davi Brooks, Cristian Vargui, Brennan Blake, Bailey Brewer, and Chandler Reiman, under the direction of coach Ken Troyer. The team faced competitors from colleges and universities across the country in a demanding multi-day event featuring debate and individual forensic competition.

Sterling College and Southern Nazarene University (SNU) have launched a new academic partnership that creates a streamlined pathway for SNU undergraduate students to earn both a bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene and a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) from Sterling College.

A rare collaboration between two outstanding ensembles anchors the Sterling College Symphonic Band’s spring concert, “Music of the Masters,” on Sunday, February 22, at 3 p.m. in Culbertson Auditorium. Under the direction of Larry Brownlee, the concert will unite the band with the Wichita Choral Society, conducted by Shawn Chastain, for a program of monumental works by Holst, Bernstein, and Rutter.
