Dr. Kneeland Brown, president of Trinity Academy in Wichita, will speak at the Sterling College Peacemakers Convocation on Friday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. As part of the College’s Spiritual Emphasis Week, Brown will present his speech, “Let Justice Roll Down,” in Culbertson Auditorium in Spencer Hall on the Sterling College campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Gabby Martinez qualified for the American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament.

Gabby Martinez of Hutchinson, Kansas, qualified for the American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament this past weekend at the Nebraska in Kansas Swing. Hosted by Kansas State University, the tournament included 11 colleges and universities competing in 11 individual events. Martinez placed second in informative speaking, which was her final step toward qualifying for the national tournament.
Dara Quastad of Inman, Kansas, placed fourth in persuasive speaking on day one of the tournament.
Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally, Linus, Snoopy and Schroeder entertain audience members of all ages on Feb. 1-4.

The lovable gang based on Charles M. Schultz’s comic strip “Peanuts” will find their way to Culbertson Auditorium Feb. 1-4 as Charlie Brown, Lucy, Sally, Linus, Snoopy and Schroeder entertain audience members of all ages. “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” will show at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 1-3, and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 4. The public is invited to attend as Assistant Professor of Music Mark Clark directs the cast in this family-friendly musical.

Sterling College announced 197 students who have met the criteria for the fall 2017 Dean’s Honor Roll. Students are those who completed the semester with a 3.5 GPA or better in at least 12 credits of residential work or 10 credits of online work. Eligible students did not receive an F or incomplete in any course.
