As such, Griffis will create supportive resources, structures, and strategies to integrate faith and learning, focusing on the critical examination of academic content through the lens of a Christian student.

Sterling College’s Elizabeth Herrington competed among more than 1,800 of America’s best and brightest college students who traveled to Southern California to establish their own “Legacy of Leadership” as they competed for the opportunity to win more than $95,000 in cash awards.
Herrington received national recognition at the PBL Awards of Excellence Program on June 27 through competing in the categories of Job Interview and Client Service and brought home eighth and ninth places, respectively. She was then awarded her trophies at the awards ceremony that evening.

Sterling College has announced the fourth season of the Ross and Fern Freeman Lecture Series for Servant Leadership with speakers Kevin Palau and Dr. Jeff Myers. Palau, president of the Luis Palau Association, will speak on Oct. 27, 2017. The spring 2018 date for Myers, president of Summit Ministries, is April 6.

The Spring Dean’s Honor Roll for Sterling College recognized 173 students for their academic accomplishment. Students named to the list completed the semester with a 3.5 GPA or better in at least 12 credits of residential work or 10 credits of online work. Eligible students did not receive an F or incomplete in any course.

Sterling College has announced the creation of two new master’s programs in athletic training and sports ministry, becoming the first graduate-level programs offered in College history. The programs are scheduled to begin Summer 2018.
