Wichita, Kan. - The Sterling College Warrior Track & Field Team continued their early season success with another solid performance this past Saturday at the Friends University Enduro Classic in Wichita, KS. The Warriors finished the day with eight top three finishers and a total of four event champions.
Sterling, Kan. – Jillian Linnebur, a junior from Colwich, Kansas, was named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Friends University Enduro Classic meet on Saturday.
This year Sterling College is opening its Summer Term session courses to high school students interested in obtaining college credits over the summer. Sterling will be offering a number of online courses during its Summer Term session from May 16-June 24.
The Sterling College Debate team recently returned from a multi-state tour of national tournaments. This marks the most successful debate season in Sterling’s school history with a 9th place finish in overall team sweepstakes at the National Parliamentary Debate Tournament, held in Colorado Springs, Colo., from March 16 through March 20 at The Colorado College.
Shawnee, Okla. – Cold, wind and even some drizzle couldn’t keep the Sterling College Warriors from placing well at the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Invitational on Saturday. In their second meet of the season and the first since spring break, the Warriors brought home three event champions, four runner-ups ant two third place finishes. Three Sterling athletes were named KCAC Athletes of the Week because of their performance in the meet. Sara Steria, Jessica Stuart, and Alex VanLoenen all received the conference honor.
Sterling College seniors Anita Bunney of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kelly Valentine of Sterling, Kan., will have their Senior Art Exhibition on display at the Art and Design Center from April 1-16. The reception in their honor will be held on Friday, April 8 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the Art and Design Center gallery.

STERLING, Kan. - Sterling College Athletic Director Andy Lambert announced today that Whitney Hamilton has resigned her position as head cheer and dance coach at Sterling College. Hamilton has been the head coach at Sterling for two and half years.
Wichita, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has changed its 2010-11 Men's and Women's Basketball postseason format and moved the Championship finals to Hartman Arena, in Park City, Kansas.
For the first time, the KCAC is moving both the Men's and Women's Basketball Championship to a neutral site. ‘KCAC Hoops at Hartman Arena' will feature both games on February 28, 2011, with the men's final at 6:00 PM and the women's fin al at 8:00 PM.
